Day 19 of our 30 Cocktails in 30 Days Challenge: the Sexy Alligator
It’s a strange name for a drink, isn’t it? I think it’s got something to do with how it is potentially deadly but at the same time delicious.
For my birthday a few years ago, my friend Jitka gave me a bottle of Jaegermeister. Only really known for its use in Jaeger bombs, where you drop a shot into an energy drink, Jaegermeister’s a very misunderstood liqueur. Poor old Jaegermeister!
Thankfully, Jitka had the forethought to make me a little cocktail book of drinks featuring Jaegermeister. She printed it and even had it bound on the right-hand side so I could use it – I’m a lefty, you see.
At the front of the book was the Sexy Alligator. Even though I’ve tried the others, I keep coming back to this one. It’s strong, but easy to drink. Oddly, this combination of spirits and fruit juices produces a cherry flavour, even though cherry isn’t on the ingredients list!
How to make a Sexy Alligator
