Hi. It’s time for our weekly Instagram Diary again. That must mean it’s Monday. Again. You know, I sometimes dream of a utopian week where we get Tuesdays and Thursdays off – I really don’t like Tuesdays.
Anyway, here’s what’s been happening with us on Instagram!
Tonight, Mrs Romance and I are out with Steph (LipstickAndCake.com) again. We’re at the soft launch of Hotel Tonight – a hotel booking app.
The app’s good, but so are these choc genache tartlets… spectacular.
Hotel Tonight really is good though. The app has some great functionality features like geo-based deals, where hotels have put a special discounted offer on depending how close you are. Bookings can only be made for the next 5 days because Hotel Tonight are focused on being spontaneous and fun.
I think hotels will be happier working with Hotel Tonight than some other last minute booking sites too. Because the offers are only available in the app not online. This stops window shopping and hotels losing out to 3rd party sites. What this means for us is hotels are much less likely to give us crappy rooms!
Check the app out. It’s free to download and really does have some great offers. No choccy tartlets though, I’m afraid.
Mrs Romance has been showing me her photos from Bali again today. How about this bar and sun deck in Uluwatu?! Insane.
Here’s more info on Mrs Romance’s time in this gem of Indonesia: Paradise Found – Uluwatu, Bali.
Love this photo of Mrs Romance, Carly from Smaggle.com and Kate from SecretBloggersBusiness.com at Single Fin in Uluwatu, Bali. And this is just the juice they were drinking – I can only imagine what the cocktails looked like!
Today, Mrs Romance is in town trying out the latest product range they’re using in the beautiful Lizard Island Resort‘s new spa, Essentia Day Spa. She’s testing the new La Biosthetique range here in Sydney… as if we needed another excuse to visit this place!
Lizard Island Resort looks insane. In the northern end of the Great Barrier Reef, Lizard Island is literally a tropical paradise. And with views like this one from the balcony, who needs a home?!
It’s Friday again at last! We’re getting things started with an espresso martini. I’ve got to say, this one’s probably the best I’ve made. I used Mr Black coffee liqueur, which I think has made the difference. Here’s the recipe:
2 x Mr Black coffee liqueur
1 x vodka
1 x dark creme de cacao
½ x chilled espresso coffee
Shake it all together as hard as you can in a shaker with plenty of ice and strain it into a cocktail glass. Yum.
How about this for a breakfast?! One of the many strokes of genius to come out of the kitchen at Cook and Archie’s Cafe in Surry Hills. Mrs Romance does love a corn fritter, and these are 2 of the best.
There’s also smoked salmon, poached egg, roasted tomato and a tomato salsa to seal the deal.
Mrs Romance is getting a lesson in calligraphy today from the very talented Emma Kate from EmmaKateCo.com. Looking forward to seeing what’s going to come of it.
Not bad, hey? Look like Mrs Romance got skillz!
Ah. Sunday biscuits. That’s what it’s all about! These are Mrs Romance’s spectacularly addictive gluten-free choc chip peanut butter cookies. They’ve only got 5 ingredients in them and it only take about 15 minutes to make.
Here are all the deets for these delicacies: 5 ingredient gluten-free peanut butter choc chip cookies.
