Have I read this right? Was last week really the last full week in September? I couldn’t believe it when I looked at my calendar today. October? Where the bloody hell did that come from?!
That means it’s less that 13 weeks to Christmas! Sorry. I hate it when people drop temporal bombshells like that. It’s not fair and it’s not funny. I did just need to share though.
Anyway, here’s our latest Instagram Diary. I figure if we’re watching our lives go by, they might as well look good! Enjoy.
Monday’s finally over, so we thought we’d celebrate with martinis. Or Mon-tini as I’m now going to call it. These bad boys were well needed after a pretty loathsome day. Nothing we can’t deal with but a vile day nonetheless. Hope your Monday’s treated you well.
Today, we’re putting some final touches on our new place. I’ve still got a box to unpack (and I’ve got a feeling it’s going to stay that way for a while) and we’ve got some pictures and things to sort out, but Mrs Romance has been busy making the place smell nice.
This lovely gift of a Circa Home candle and room diffuser have really given the place a homely hum!
It’s Tuesday evening. And in our books that means only one thing: burger night! The East Village in Balmain does a great $10 deal with any drink, and their burger special has us all drooling.
By ‘all’ I refer to our good friend and fellow glutton, Steph from LipstickAndCake.com. And by ‘burger special’ I mean this work of art. It’s a burger with jalapeños, hot chilli, cheese and a crispy onion ring for good measure. Wonder what will be proffered next week!
Today Mrs Romance and I are working out and about. We’ve discovered that the newly renovated MLC Centre food court is actually as close to the perfect storm for a mobile office as you can get. Wifi, space, convenience… and dumplings! Life never looked so good.
Watch this space for our full dissection of the MLC Centre and its new role in our working life!
It’s a ripper of a sunset tonight over the Anzac Bridge. The view out towards Sydney’s west is absolutely perfect. Not a bad way to end a pretty darn fine Humpday!
And down came the rain again. We’re beginning to wonder if it’ll ever stop! At least we’re being treated to a bit of double rainbow action (that sounds rude, doesn’t it?) for our patience. Well played, Sydney. Just as we were getting tired of you’re rainy shenanigans you pull this one out of your hat!
That Friday feeling’s going strong at Romance HQ with a glass of Stoneleigh Pinot. Here’s cheers to the weekend, folks!
I think this shot lends itself to our latest post on winery cellar doors and how to feel more comfortable when you’re tasting wine. Check out our top 5 simple tips on how to feel more at home at a cellar door here.
Well, this is ok I suppose. I’m happy to say the rain – nemesis of ferry rides – has stopped for the time being. Mrs Romance and I have found a spare minute today to go for a float. Certainly helps to put thoughts of the impending Monday out of your head for a while.
Really don’t think I’ll ever get tired of this view! You know, I spotted dolphins right in front of the Opera House earlier in the week?! I know! Amazing, right? They were right there. Couldn’t believe it. So if you’re near or on Sydney Harbour this week or next, keep your eyes pealed. You never know what you might see!
What was your weekend like? Have you had a crappy Monday? Do you have any good burger deals happening near you at the moment? Tell us in the comments!
Smaggle
Will you make me a martini please? 🙂
Mr Romance
Oh no! Just saw this now, Smags! And I made you a poxy Amoretto sour! Must have been so disappointing. Will make it up to you, promise!
