Why blog?

The most exciting thing about He Said, She Said is wondering if we’ll still be married by the end of each post! We both write on the same topic but only get to read the other’s work after it’s published.

He said:

Praise the lucky Buddha! Go out and buy a lottery ticket! No need to fear ladders, black cats or broken mirrors anymore! We’d actually agreed on something.

How ironic that it should be on how we always differ with our points of view. But this was the seed from which this blog grew. The idea of having a ‘he said, she said’ online commentary of our lives appealed to both of us.

Of course, there were other reasons. We both do a lot together and keeping track of that can sometimes be difficult. When we couldn’t remember what we’d done for our second wedding anniversary, sheer embarrassment gave us that extra push.

I see the blog as a way to record memories but also to talk to people – and perhaps rant a little – about things we love: cigars (me)

montecristo cohiba

shoes (her)

Miu Miu

food, drink and travel (us)

and to show how two very different people can be quite similar at the same time.

Welcome to my side of the argument!

Blogging has changed my life. I get to talk about hair all the time at Hair Romance, and nails over at Nail Romance, but I love to talk about so much more.

I am passionate about travel, photography and making memories and am so excited to be working on Mr and Mrs Romance with Jim.

We talked about writing a “he said / she said” blog, but this space can be that and more.

Blogging puts a magnifying glass on your life, and it also makes you stop and appreciate the little moments. I want to record them here so I’ll never forget them.

Jim thinks it’s an argument, but he forgets I’m always right! 😉
