Day 27 of our 30 Cocktails in 30 Days: the Jasmine Vanilla Martini.
When Mrs Romance came up with the idea of using pomegranate tea for Monday’s Granny’s Pomegranate Punch, we thought we’d see what other teas we could use in cocktails.
We came across this little beauty and, I must say, I really quite like it. Chinese restaurants serve jasmine tea at the table. It has the excellent property of either improving your digestion or subduing how full you feel… I never have been able to work that one out.
Either way, it means you can keep eating and drinking to your heart’s content.
For the sake of the drink, the tea gives a nice, dry flowery flavour. Meanwhile the Chambord and vanilla syrup adds sweetness and body.
