Wishing you a very Happy New Year!
Mr Romance is not a big fan of NYE, and I do agree it can be overhyped, but I love to mark the start of each year in a fun way.
This year we went out for dinner with some good friends at Woolloomooloo Wharf in Sydney. I knew it would be a good plan as we were able to walk from our apartment, and avoid the taxi queues and crowds.
I started 31st December as I meant to continue in 2013 with a run to the Opera House. People were already camped out along the foreshore from the night before to secure the best spots for the Sydney fireworks.
As the sun set on a what has been a fabulous year, our friends arrived and we set off to to Sydney Harbour for dinner and to watch the fireworks.
Sydney showed off again on January 1st with a glorious day, and Mr R and I went for a walk around the foreshore to soak in some sunshine.
