Australia is producing some of the best wines in the world at the moment. The problem is there’s just so much to choose from. So here’s a very good place to start… and possibly end too!
We paid a visit to Printhie Swift Winery in Orange, New South Wales to see what they had to offer. Their Cuvee was placed in the top ten best Australian sparkling wines by the Sydney Morning Herald.
But it was their reds that won us over. The Printhie Mount Conobolas Shiraz is worth its weight in grapes. Full-bodied, spicy and full of peppercorn.
This is a great wine. It goes well with big steaks or just on its own. Even with a big cigar this wine held its own.
Very impressed.
Head out to the cellar door in Orange for a tasting before you buy. You can also find some Printhie wines at Dan Murphy’s or your local wine merchant.
