What a whirlwind week it’s been! And I’ve got a feeling things are only just starting to ramp up too. From excursions on horseback to a 700-strong conference, our niece’s 18th birthday to a new home… it’s all here in this week’s Instagram Diary. Just hold onto your hat (or whatever you may have balanced on your head at the time) – this one’s pretty full on.
We keep on thinking about our lunch at the Centennial Parklands Dining here in Sydney. It’s part of the experience with Sydney Horse where you can ride a horse to lunch. Believe it or not, this is just the entree! The rest of the meal is just as amazing, but don’t take our word for it, check out our full review of the whole day here.
While we’re at Sydney Horse, we see this beauty being exercised. This is actually a photo by our make Dom, who’s taken a much better shot than me. Mine hasn’t quite come out as perfectly! Check out more of Dom’s work here.
So after the horse ride and the meal, we’ve settled down to digest and enjoy this great flick The Longest Ride. It’s all part of our idea for a movie themed date and it works perfectly.
Watch this space for more movie themed dates – but for now, here’s what we did on The Longest Ride.
We’re very sad to be moving from our place in the city, but this should lessen the pain a bit: our view from our new bedroom window. Not bad, is it? Just got to move all our stuff now. 😛
Apart from moving, organising movie dates and everything else, we’re off to the Gold Coast today to attend this year’s ProBlogger conference. This is set to be the biggest ProBlogger event ever with over 700 people coming.
So for now, it’s hasta luego, au revoir and auf wiedersehen, Sydney!
It’s not an ocean view but at least we can see water from our hotel room! The Royal Pines Resort where ProBlogger 2015 is being held is promising to be a great venue. Especially for so many people. Can’t wait to get in amongst it!
After 2 and a half days of full on learning and being inspired at the ProBlogger event, it’s time for a bit of me time. That’s right, that means room service.
Mrs Romance is busy at the speakers’ dinner so I’ve grabbed this opportunity to take stock and feed my face!
Mrs Romance did an amazing job speaking this year. Really inspiring people with her wise words next to Smaggle on stage. Their experience from running Little Blog Big has really paid off, and they now make a formidable duo.
All the speakers this year were excellent – especially Sonia from SoniaStyling.com, for her onstage debut. Well done, Sonic!
We’ve left the Gold Coast now and have arrived in Brisbane where my brother and his family live. It’s a very special day today – his beautiful daughter is 18 today! I can’t believe it’s gone so quickly – and worst of all I think she enjoys making me feel so old. Lord only knows how my brother feels. Maybe I’ll ask him!
It’s back to the airport again now. I wish we could stay up in Brisbane a bit longer and spend more time with the fam but there’s so much we’ve got to do back home.
We’re relaxing (and trying to wake up) before our early flight back to Sydney and the prospect of packing up a home. It’s a home that’s held our slowly accumulating wealth of stuff for the past 7 years, so wish us luck!
And here we are again! Mrs Romance is back to her old tricks catching the best part of the day on Sydney Harbour. Sunrise here really is phenomenally beautiful, isn’t it?
We’re still trying to soak up the fact that our 37 Tips for Flying in Style caught the eye of the Virgin Australia judges at ProBlogger and won us an amazing prize. We’re trying to work out what to do with all the frequent flyer points, the gold membership and the amazing prospect of working with Virgin Australia over the next few months.
So exciting! Thank you, Virgin Australia and ProBlogger. It really means so much to us.
How was your week? Tell us all about it in the comments!
Sonia from Sonia Styling
I bloody love you guys! And CONGRATS on the Virgin Australia win. I’m sorry I was sitting between the two of you when the win was announced but I was so damn proud! x
Mr Romance
Love you more, Sonia!! Thank you so much – we had such a great time with you at PBGC. No need to apologise at all. Wouldn’t have had it any other way – besides, you’re only little. We could see each other over the top of you! 😀

Sammie @ The Annoyed Thyroid
So much awesome in one post! Congrats on the new Maison de Romance and of course the Virgin win (fist bump!) it was so fun to see you both on the weekend! I wonder what the dumplings are like in your new hood? Just sayin’!
Mr Romance
Ha ha! Thank you so much, Sammie! Massive fist bump back! It was so good having you around at the conference.
Not sure what the dumpling situation’s like over our new way. Will have to investigate (what a terrible chore!) and get you guys over to judge.

Huge props on your competition win! Maybe a return to Adelaide for a craft gin appreciation session may chew up a few of those FF points??
Mr Romance
Definitely a way to spend them well, Beth! Craft gin, being back in Rads… sounds like a deal! Thank you for your kind words by the way. We’re so excited to have won. 🙂

Amy Coleman
Hi there! Congrats for the move! Your view is gorgeous! I also moved away from the city.. but much further away! Me and my husband have decided to go live in the country so our view looks to the mountains, which is also nice! Thanks for sharing the post! The blogging conference seems like it was a lot of fun! Also the horse riding …Thanks for sharing! You have a lovely blog! 🙂
Mr Romance
Hi Amy. Sounds like your move to the mountains has given you an amazing view! Yes, the conference was a lot of fun and so inspiring. Highly recommended to anyone interested in this fascinating industry.
