Postcards from Cuba

Cuba, it’s safe to say, has had a chequered history. Civil wars, CIA incursions, corruption, nuclear involvement, abject poverty, isolation from the West. But still the vitality, the romance and the sheer natural beauty of this the largest island in the Caribbean has managed to capture the hearts and imagination of so many.

It’s stunning, isn’t it, Adeline?! It was a bit of a pinch-me moment when we first spotted this beach!

Make it happen, Tammi. You’d absolutely love it! Perhaps we should have a cigar and a rum or two to discuss your options!

I just love the architectural details & the vivid colours.

We’re going to Cuba in the NY & I’m thrilled to see the colours are not just travel guide photoshopped!

We’ve been checking out your Cuba posts – thank you so much. Lots of helpful tips. Did you go to Santiago too?

Oh you’re so lucky, Brona! We really wish we were going back to Cuba. It’s such a beautiful and fascinating place. Hope our posts are helpful to you! Unfortunately we haven’t been to Chile… yet! But we’re working on it.
We got to Cuba via Mexico (one night in Cancun before we went and then a few nights in Tulum after) in the middle of a longer trip through the US. I think if you’re only travelling to visit Cuba, Chile and other ports of South America are easier to travel to from Australia.
      Have a great trip!
