and there are some breeds which are really well suited to being apartment cats (if you don’t have the means for them to get outside easily) … ours have settled well into being house cats and have no real interest in going outside …

and it makes it that much less depressing at the end of a holiday when you have something to come home too … 🙂

I’ve always been a dog person, and I lean more towards dogs, but whilst out one day around 4 years ago, I walked past a pet store and fell in love. Now, I know in a way it’s kinda of irresponsible just getting a cat out of the blue, but it’s also the way its happened with my dogs. I see them and it’s like instant recognition. That animal was meant to be mine. And so, I got my first cat. Sadly, he and one of my dogs was kept by my ex in the split, and after a while, I kind of started fretting about not having a feline companion. So I ended up adopting one off of gumtree. It seems I stumbled upon being a cat lady, and I can’t see myself EVER living without at least one dog and one cat.
Long comment, but basically saying, YES! Get a cat!
