Hi Deb. You're not wrong - Puglia is absolutely stunning. We really love it there.
It's a good question though: whether to travel across from Naples or stick with the Amalfi. We really rate the city, and Pompeii and Herculaneum are absolutely amazing. The Amalfi Coast is - of course - quite something to see. Astonishingly beautiful cliffs and beaches, pretty little towns balanced on the edge of the land - it really is picture postcard stuff. However, it's insanely busy there, the roads are appalling and it's really expensive. All problems you won't find in Puglia. If it were me, I'd say make a road trip of it and do the drive in a couple of days - there'll be plenty to see and do along the way. If you can find time to stop off to see the Amalfi Coast, you won't regret it and if you can, see Naples and Pompeii. They're pretty cool!
Safe travels - Jim

We are flying into Naples and I wonder if we could spend a week exploring Puglia . It certainly looks much nicer than Amalfi where we were planning to go!
