It’s funny, isn’t it, Lyn? I mean we’ve wanted to go to Broome for years but it’s just that bit far and that bit too isolated. It’s a great place to go if you’ve got further travel plans. As a destination, you might get a bit fed up after a while – though if you had a car, you’d be able to explore more. Because it’s so close to the rest of the Kimberley, Broome’s a great springboard.

Your trip to Europe sounds incredible! Nov-Jan?! Very jealous. Though I’ll be in the UK for 3 weeks over Christmas to see the folks. Brr. Better wrap up warm for that!

It’s funny, Seana, for some reason we rarely consider the Top End when we’re thinking holiday destinations. Bit of an oversight I reckon. There’s so much to see and do, the climate (in the dry season anyway) is perfect and it’s really not that far to go to feel like you’re in a totally different country. Glad you like our pics. It’s hard to take a bad shot of the Kimberley, I must say!

Why oh why when I live in Perth have I never visited before? Well mostly because it is cheaper to go to Asia, but it is time I planned to see more of our lovely country. And talking about lovely, I want that Ferrero Rocher cocktail… what a combination. Meanwhile we are finalising our plans for Europe in November to January. This world has just too many beautiful places and I want to see them all.

We spent a few weeks in NT and Kimberley then drove Broome to Perth when I was expecting Son No.1 The Kimberley was magnificent and I would adore to see it from the ocean side one day.
