It is a good idea, isn’t it, Sonia? I always feel so much pressure to finish a bottle of wine when I open it (I blame the bottle). But if you have a reasonable wine in a vacuum-sealed bag that’ll stay fresh for a couple of weeks, just a glass or two on a week night – much better!
So glad you had a good weekend. How great is Nikki and My SY? Love ’em. And love that Shouk Cafe too! Mrs R and I had a bite to eat there – think we reviewed it actually – and loved it!

You know, Sammie, I totally fell out of love with pancakes years ago when my family and I stopped in a Little Chef on the A12 back in the UK when we were on a road trip. I had pancakes that day and had their ‘maple syrup’ all over my food. I remember feeling queazy before getting back in the car, but by the end of the journey I felt really horrible and as a result haven’t been able to face maple pancakes since.
Hopefully, Mrs R’s breakfast the other day has signalled the great pancake turn-around for me!

It’s about time cask wine got an overhaul because it really is a handy thing to have for the (odd) occasion you just want one glass without having to crack open a bottle.
We had an amazing weekend in Brisbane! The highlights were dinner at Habitat in the West End, the Chet Faker concert and catching up with Nikki (Styling You) and her husband for brunch at Shouk in Paddington. Totally shattered today, but so worth it! x

Breakfast is one of my favourite meals to eat out and we had some epic brekkies on our holiday up the coast. Pancakes are all my time favourite served with berries and lashings of maple syrup. Mrs R’s look positively droolworthy!
