Sounds like your man’s on the right track, Sonia. It amazes me how much those little gestures can make such a difference.
Your engagement sounds amazing! It’s good to be able to enjoy the small things in a relationship as well as being able to rely on him for those grand gestures too. We got engaged in the Cook Islands – on the beach on Rarotonga. It took a bit of organising, but nothing like yours! We didn’t have any of our friends around (understandably) but we did get a round of applause from people I hadn’t noticed who could see us from their waterfront balcony! Jx

I’m not sure if he realises it, but those things mean a lot to me as it’s one less thing I have to do during the day.
His grandest gesture of all would have to be his proposal, as it was a year in the planning. He had my engagement ring made, booked two different venues, had his graphic designer brother produce a wine label with a poem he had written and arranged for a dozen of our closest friends to be at the second venue ready to surprise us. Amazing!
