Hi Karen. I think long black drinkers are – and should be – fussier than anyone. There’s no hiding behind milk or fancy latte art, is there? It’s either good or bad. Interesting they offered you all the options though. Glad you found a good one in the city. The cafes in the CBD get a lot of practice! Jim

I drink long black and fairly fussy. When in Sydney last week I was surprised when I was asked several times after ordering a long black would you like cold water, dash of milk or sugar with that. No thanks!!! I did enjoy a great long black though whilst waiting to go to a meeting in Kent St. it was pouring rain and wait staff had a very elegant french accent. Great list of harbourside venues, next time.

The Boathouse always gets my vote, it’s probably my favourite spot in Sydney and it’s an instagrammer’s dream! I’ve been to a few of these but I’m looking forward to ticking a few more off my list! The Opera Bar also serves breakfast (I think only on weekends, not sure) and that really is breakfast with a view!
